Summer Camp

June 17 - June 20

$50

The Banker’s House is a beautiful and historic landmark in Shelby that has been “standing tall through it all” for nearly 150 years! This summer’s campers will learn about how this house and the many people who have lived there were not only resilient, but also positively used their talents and influence to make a positive impact on the community of Shelby.
The four-day camp sessions will include fun and engaging activities including arts, science experiments, tours of the local area and more! The theme of the camp will be “Standing Tall through it All” and campers will be encouraged to develop some resilience skills through fun and engaging activities that encourage students to interact with each other and the community.

Camp Counselor Heather Halbert is an Exceptional Children’s teacher in Shelby and has experience working with a wide variety of students. Her interests include writing, photography, and music.

*Boys and Girls Club members are eligible to attend at no cost!*
For all others the fee is $50/week which includes lunch and snacks.

The camp is held on the Banker’s House property at 319 N. Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
