SUMMARY:Summer Camp 2025 - Session 1
DESCRIPTION:The Banker’s House is a beautiful and historic landmark in Shelby that is truly a “Small Town Treasure”! This summer\, campers will learn about how this house and other Shelby treasures help to make our small town unique and amazing! \nThe four-day camp sessions will include fun and engaging activities including art\, music\, science experiments\, tours of the local area and more! Campers will be encouraged to develop some resilience skills through fun and engaging activities that encourage students to interact with each other and the community. \nCamp Counselor Heather Halbert is an Exceptional Children’s teacher in Shelby and has experience working with a wide variety of students. Her interests include writing\, photography\, and music. \n*Boys and Girls Club members are eligible to attend at no cost!* \nFor all others the fee is $50/week which includes lunch and snacks. \nThe camp is held on the Banker’s House property at 319 N. Lafayette Street\, Shelby\, and runs from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day. \nClick here for a downloadable registration form. \nThank you to the Grassroots Arts Program for awarding a grant to support this camp through the Cleveland County Arts Council.
